Warranty conditions

Garden & Home offers its customers an extension of the guarantee to a total of 5 years from the date of purchase in addition to the legally standardised guarantee conditions of the BGB (German Civil Code) under the following conditions:

Warranty conditions

The legal guarantee of two years extends to a total of 5 years from the date of purchase; the presentation of the purchase receipt issued by Garden & Home is decisive.

The object of purchase must either have been assembled by Garden & Home or by following the assembly instructions handed over at the time of sale. It's the buyer's responsibility to check the material for defects and damage upon delivery, as the warranty excludes mechanical damage.

The customer must treat the product following the care and cleaning instructions.

Occurrence of the guarantee

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer shall contact Garden & Home in writing and submit the original purchase receipt.

Wood is a natural product. Please understand that the guarantee does not cover weather-related changes such as swelling, colour, cracks, etc.

Warranty procedure

The guarantee claim must be reported to Garden & Home in writing, enclosing the original proof of purchase. If the proof of purchase is not submitted, there is no entitlement to a guarantee. The company Garden & Home can issue a guarantee declaration as a goodwill gesture, but there is no legal entitlement. The customer assures a guarantee to the company Garden & Home and the inspection and access to the object of purchase during the guarantee procedure in order to be able to check the claim.

The company Garden & Home will inform the customer in writing within 4 weeks whether a guarantee claim will be made. If the customer receives no feedback from Garden & Home, Garden & Home have rejected the guarantee claim.

Exclusion of guarantee

A guarantee is not given if it becomes apparent during the inspection that the guarantee claim has arisen as a result of any improper handling. A guarantee is also not valid if there are mechanical changes or damages.

A warranty claim is also excluded If it becomes apparent during the warranty inspection that the object of purchase is standing on an unsuitable surface or a faulty foundation.

Additions and alterations of any kind to the object of purchase will lead to the exclusion of the guarantee.

The guarantee does not cover storm and other weather damage.

Individual parts covered by the guarantee

If the company Garden & Home has accepted the guarantee, the company Garden & Home has the right to choose whether to carry out a repair or to provide a guaranteed material. The customer undertakes to collect the guarantee material from the company Garden & Home or from a place to be named by the company Garden & Home. All further claims including collection, assembly or other subsequent costs are excluded.

The parties agree that the guarantee case shall not lead to an extension of the guarantee beyond the agreed 5 years. If the customer does not assert the claims described here within 6 months of becoming aware of the warranty case, they shall become statute-barred.
